IPL6 Qualifiers Signups!

We have a big announcement today here at IPL! We will be hosting a ShootMania tournament for IPL6 which is set to take place at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on March 28th to March 31st! The format for the tournament will be a sixteen team double elimination bracket. In the weeks to come we will be hosting qualifier tournaments in which the top two teams from each will qualify for a spot in IPL6.  We will be holding five North American qualifiers and three European qualifiers for a grand total of ten North American teams and six European teams. These qualifiers will give seeding points to the top two teams, and the earlier you qualify the more seeding points you will be awarded.

There will be an open qualifier at PAX East where the sixteenth and final team will be determined. PAX East takes place in Boston from March 22nd-24th.  Anyone attending the event will be able to enter the qualifier.  The PAX East open qualifier will be capped at 16 teams.  Sign ups are on-site.

Rules

The qualifiers will be bo3 up until the semifinals where they will change to bo5.  Set map for the first game, and the loser of each game picks the next map.  First to 9 points wins and you must win by 2.

1st - $30,000

2nd - $15,000

3rd - $11,000

4th - $8,000

5th/6th - $6,000

7th/8th - $4,000

9th-16th - $2,000

Note: Prizing for IPL6 does not include hotels or flights.

Seeding points

Seeding points will determine the seeding for our IPL6 bracket. Here are the values of each tournament qualifier:

Qualifier 1 - 10 points to first place, 9 points to second place

Qualifier 2 - 8 points to first place, 7 points to second place

Qualifier 3 - 6 points to first place, 5 points to second place

Qualifier 4 (NA only) - 4 points to first place, 3 points to second place

Qualifier 5 (NA only) - 2 points to first place, second place will not be admitted to IPL6

Qualifier 6 (at PAX East) – The sixteenth place will be given to the PAX East open qualifier winner

 If you signed up for an IPL6 qualifier before January 18th, you will need to re-register.
