Report: Star Wars 1313 Isn't a Next-Gen Title

It seems that Star Wars 1313 may be destined to arrive on this generation of consoles, despite speculation to the contrary.

Photos of the game were added to the German PlayStation Facebook page (via NeoGAF) along with the words "Star Wars 1313 erscheint 2013 für PlayStation 3" which translates as "Star Wars 1313 releases in 2013 for Playstation 3".

Now, this is a pretty interesting claim. There's been masses of speculation about LucasArt's upcoming game, but one thing many people seemed to be in agreement on was that the title would release on the next generation of consoles, which seems to conflict with the above statement.

Of course, it's always possible that the post was written by someone in error, or maybe the game is destined to straddle both generations as has happened in the past. Then there's the implications of the release date; if we assume that this means the game will appear on both generations of consoles, then could it be possible that the date is correct and the PS4 and Xbox 720 will be releasing this year with Star Wars 1313 as a launch title?

Ultimately, we don't know. Having watched the below trailer ourselves hundreds of times though, we're highly sceptical that those graphics could be from the current generation of consoles, unless the last seven years has just seen development teams be incredibly lazy.

What do you reckon? After watching the below trailer again do you reckon the Facebook posting could be correct, or is it more likely an error?
