Twilight Director's Legal Drama Coming to CBS

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke is coming to CBS with a new legal drama. THR reports that the network has just given a series order to Reckless, executive produced by Hardwicke, who also directed the pilot. The series reunites Hardwicke with Cam Gigandet, who played the villain in the first Twilight film. Hardwicke's other films include Thirteen, Lords of Dogtown and Red Riding Hood.

According to THR, Reckless is described as a "sultry legal show set in Charleston, S.C.," about two lawyers (Fringe's Georgina Haig and Gigandet) struggling to "hide their intense attraction while clashing over a police sex scandal."

Dana Stevens (Safe Haven) wrote the pilot and will co-executive produce. The cast also includes Shawn Hatosy (Southland), Michael Gladis (Mad Men), Kim Wayans (In Living Color), Anna Wood (Deception) and Gregory Harrison (Ringer).

The pickup of Reckless comes on the heels of CBS picking up several other new series on Friday, including the dramas Intelligence (starring Lost's Josh Holloway) and Hostages (starring Toni Collette) and high profile comedies starring Robin Williams, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Will Arnett and more.
