Screenwriter Damon Lindelof has tweeted his apology to fans offended by Carol Marcus' underwear scene in Star Trek Into Darkness.
Marcus, played by Alice Eve, is the only other major female character in the film besides Zoe Saldana's Uhura. Many female viewers and Trek fans have expressed their displeasure at what they feel was the filmmakers reducing the brilliant scientist to sexual objectification in the scene.
