Game 1 on Daybreak
Nerchio goes standard, going for an economic build with three hatcheries. Naniwa goes for an early robotics bay, leaning toward sentry zealot drop play. He makes a drop in Nerchio's third and is able to kill drones, a queen, and the hatchery with his zealots.
Naniwa goes for strong three-base play, whereas Nerchio goes for a roach-infestor build. Naniwa moves forward and lands perfect forcefields on Nerchio's roaches and target fires the infestors with his stalkers. He also warps zealots into Nerchio's main and cleans up the drones there.
Nerchio holds on and the battle continues into the late game with Naniwa transitioning into colossi and Nerchio spawning the greater spire. Nerchio builds up an unbelievably scary amount of brood lords (twenty, to be exact) to combat Naniwa's army of stalkers and colossi and takes out Naniwa's fifth. The Zerg player decimates Naniwa's economy by taking out more bases with his brood lord, infestor, zergling, baneling force. Naniwa cannot recover and he is forced to gg.
Game 2 on Metropolis
Naniwa opens up with a one-gate expand and is immediately punished by Nerchio's zerglings. They are able to take out the natural, but Nerchio is unaware of Naniwa's five warp gates being built. Naniwa is able to hold. He counterattacks with a warp-in of zealots and sentries in Nerchio's main and devastates Nerchio's economy. Nerchio concedes the game.
Game 3 on Ohana
Naniwa opens up with an early Nexus and a forge hidden in his main. Nerchio opts for early three hatcheries and drones up, prompting the long macro game. Naniwa warps in five gateways and a robotics facility, from which he creates an immortal. He builds up an army of sentries and immortals.
Naniwa moves out and Nerchio baits some forcefields out of the sentries. However, Naniwa still moves forward and destroys Nerchio's zerglings with perfectly placed forcefields. Nerchio spawns several infestors as a last ditch effort, but it is not enough to take out the Swedish Protoss. Naniwa takes the series 2-1 and stays alive in the Losers Bracket.
